Anna Sacio-Szymańska

Ms Anna Sacio-Szymanska, is a senior researcher at the Innovation Strategies Department at the Institute for Sustainable Technologies – National Research Institute. She holds a PhD in Management from Cracow University of Economics. She is involved in managing and execution of foresight and innovation-related research projects. Main areas of interest and scientific activity are: long-term strategic thinking; analysing the relationships between innovation, strategy and foresight; designing foresight methodologies and putting foresight results into practice; analysis and evaluation of science and innovation policies at national and EU levels.

Anna Kononiuk

Ms Anna Kononiuk, is a Researcher in the Chair of Business Informatics and Logistics at the Management Faculty of Bialystok University of Technology. She holds a PhD in Management from the Warsaw University. She was one of the initiators of the Support Group in the National Foresight Program “Poland 2020”. Currently, she is involved as a member of key research teams in foresight projects of regional, trade and national type. Her scientific research interests are forecasting, time series analysis, social network analysis and foresight methods with an emphasis on scenario analysis.

Stefano Tommei

Mr Stefano Tommei is a Young Specialist at the Innovation Strategies Department at the Institute for Sustainable Technologies – National Research Institute. He holds a MA in International Relations from the University of Florence – Faculty of Political Sciences, and a post-graduate diploma in Diplomatic Studies from S.I.O.I. in Rome, where he deepened his understanding of international and European law, economics and foreign languages. Main areas of interest and scientific activity are: knowledge and technology transfer; IP management and research results commercialization; innovation policies at EU and extra-EU level; foresight as a competence for public and private decision-makers; Futures Literacy and Entrepreneurship Education. Ondrej Valenta

Mr Ondrej Valenta is an analyst and project manager in the department of strategic studies at the Technology Centre ASCR since 2007. He specializes on development of foresight methods and their utilization in formulation of development strategies and concepts. His activities also involved creation of background papers and studies for up-date of the National policy of research, development and innovation in the Czech Republic, especially in terms of identification of national priorities of oriented research, development and innovation as well as issues concerning R&D infrastructure. He specializes himself also on relations between RDI and regional development.

Peter Markovic

Mr Peter Markovič is member of the Department of Corporate Finance as Professor, and at present Dean of the Faculty of Business Management in Bratislava. In scientific and pedagogical area he has been active in the fields of Corporate Financial Management and related. He teaches in courses of Financial Engineering, Financial Management and Valuating of Financial Instruments. He delivers classes in all HE level, in Slovak and German programs. He participated in several research projects in field of (i) Financial and economical aspects of business activities of Slovak enterprises after entrance into the European Union; (ii) Modern approaches in Financial Risk Management in applying the principles of Behavioural Finance; (iii) Identification and experimental examination of financial decision-making determinants about long-term corporate investments in settings of economic crisis; (iv) Key trends in managers’ financial decision-making process under conditions of unstable financial markets.

Peter Dorčák

Mr Peter Dorčák is a PhD Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business in Bratislava. His research interests include e-marketing and online reputation management. He is actively involved in several European research consortia. He is also co-owner of two successful small and medium-sized companies and owner of one Czech-based company. He is honorary Slovak president of the international organization Junior Chamber International for 2011, a member of the American Marketing Association, holder of the Global Networker award presented by the Leadership Academy in Tsukuba, Japan and a double semi-finalist of Intel Berkeley Entrepreneurship Challenge in Istanbul and Tel Aviv. He Is the project manager and co-author of several Expert marketing documents on the local and national level. Peter Dorčák is also the author of more than 100 scientific and professional works. His publications have more than 100 responses.

Eva Hideg

Éva Hideg is Professor at the Futures Studies Department of the Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB). She earned her academic doctoral degree (Doctor of Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences) on the futures fields in 2012. She is well-known for her theoretical work on the paradigms of futures studies, interrelationships between the theory and practice of futures studies and foresight, and the survey of future orientation. She is now interested in the methodological development of the Hungarian practice in the futures fields.

Judit Gáspár

Judit Gáspár is an Associate Professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest since 2002. She graduated from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration with a MA in International Relationships/European Studies as a major and Environmental Studies as a minor. She studied at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 2001. She did a ‘Foresight Training for Practitioners and Organisers’ at PREST, University of Manchester and an International Faculty Development Program at IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona. Her PhD. dissertation dealt with the topic “How future is constructed in corporate strategy making practice?”. She leads courses on Decision Science, Decision Technics, Corporate Strategy and Business Economics. Her current interests of research are: managerial decision-making, group decisions, strategy-as-practice, foresight and participatory and reflexive methodologies. As a practitioner she is a trained facilitator of Social Dreaming and Social Photo Matrix, methodologies that focus on the psycho- and socio-analytic study of organisations and systems.
